apparently somebody closed that thread to me before i could answer your question.

how hard was that head gasket job, i have to replace mine im gonna start on it tommorow after school, how long did it take you?
it depends on how mechanically inclinded you are. it's really all about just unbolting the head (unbolt intake & exhaust mani's) and pull it off. it wasn't my car...it was an 88 DX with 219,000. apparently the gasket had been changed once before and they didn't get all of the previous gasket off...so you can guess what fun it is to try and remove 2 bad gaskets

i have seen more strange stuff this summer over any other  that gasket didn't seal between any of the cylinders. all of the water in the car (literally) was in the head. pistons were having a pool party. who knows how long it was like that but it was for a while...there was rust (i know, WTF?)

another poor used and abused 4th gen on it's way to the scrap yard...

hey, just make sure you don't under or over torque! or you'll be replacing that gasket in another month, or less
