TT swap on '92 NA

I'm planning on pulling my whole motor and tranny and dropping the VG30DETT and tranny, full exhaust, and either dynotunning the computer or buying a new one(which will I be better off on?), and keeping my rear end differential. Anyone with experience know anywhere that is good and reliable to get the parts I need, and what would be a good exhaust to go with, I'm still in the shopping around and figuring what to put in and how much it may cost, any tips or links would be appreciated.

Re: TT swap on '92 NA

ECU: JWT or Ashspec are the standard choices. To choose between the two is up to you.

Parts: Coz. Thats all you need.

Exhaust: MS manifolds>Specialty Z supersplit downpipes>Any quality test pipe>Whatever catback

Swap: Talk to k3smostwanted

actually, that was probably one of the smartest things i ever said. if you want fast, buy a bike. for the money he will spend swapping to a TT he could have bought a bike and been running 10's. but reguardless, i said sell the N/A and buy a TT. been there, done it, won't do it again.

and which case, i still had him covered by implying "sell it and buy a Twin Turbo if you choose to ignore my totally, awesome advice on buying a bike."

nobody likes to almost die...you just don't understand the mind of a motorcyclist. it's all about the adrenaline rush.

let's put it like this...most sport bikers are adrenaline junkies. adrenaline is just like antibiotics and other drugs, once you take the same thing over and over again, your body develops an immunity to that particular drug so the doctor gives you something newer, bigger, and badder. same goes for bikers...you do a 1st gear power wheelie and the front comes up a foot, you're like "wow, what a rush". and then next thing you know, you are clutching the living s*** out of your motorcycle in 3rd gear doing stand up wheelies at 100mph+.

so...as i was saying. adrenaline>logic

Re: TT swap on '92 NA

the point is he's on here (in a Z forum) because he wants to learn about Z's and take opinions about people who have done swaps on a Z.. not hear about some damn sportbike

either way tons of people swap tt's into n/a's with a lot less trouble... ie. not getting a fucked up motor and getting screwed over by almost everyone possible lol

Re: TT swap on '92 NA

Personally since the guy was asking for advice I don't think you are required to just talk about z cars because it's the zed section of the forums.

Though I think if you are looking at creating or buying a 300zx tt you are probably in a completely different logic/mind set than a guy willing to ride a motorcycle. It was a valid point though, just the cost of the vg30 might exceed that of a mid/late-90s sportbike capable of 11s...something the 300zx tt won't do stock and won't ever do cheap.

Just something to consider and think about really. I personally like the idea of having a relatively quick car and a fast bike rather than just one vehicle and all my money tied up into one thing.
