HELLO THERE I REALY NEED ALL THE HELP I CAN GET, I HAVE FINALY RECIVED MY X5 4.6 IS HERE IN NAIROBI EAST AFRICA THE CAR HAS COME WITH A SELF LEVELING SUSPENSION INACTIVE WARNING ITS SO LOW AT THE BACK(REAR) THAT I CAN'DRIVE IT THE SMALL DEALER HERE HAS FAILED TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM I NEED SOME ADVICE ASAP ITS RUNNIG ME MAND KINDLY ADIVSE MANY THANKS.

You need to see a dealer or shop with the propper software to check your system.
What they need to look for is weather or not the self leveling system is set to 'Transport' mode. What this does is shuts off system so that the vehicle can be tied down during transportation on a truck/train/ship etc.
When the vehicle reaches its destination a tech is suposed to go into the software and set the system into 'Normal' mode. This will unlock the controller and pump up your system.
If the tech can't communicate with the module- check at the rear fuse box to see if the fuse has been pulled. This is a quick 'transport' cheat, some shippers use so as not to need a dealer, then they forget to put the fuse back.
If they still can't talk with the module its probably dead they can become disabled with low batteries that get jumped. You will need a new one with the propper software.
These systems are really simple to diagnose for a shop with the hook-up.
