clean soda from headliner???? help!

about a month ago my son had a dr. pepper spew onto the headliner, the droplets left a stain. I only noticed it just yesterday, so it's had time to bake in pretty good. What is a good way to clean these spots from the headliner without damaging it?? any help would be appreciated.....

Try in an inconspicuos area mild soap and a tooth brush. I have used spray and wash, dish soap or zout to remove some stains without damaging fabrics.

Re: clean soda from headliner???? help!

I've used the foaming spray cleaner from Kragen's. Tuff-Stuff in spray can. Spray some up there let soak for a few minutes and use clean white towel and press it against headliner. Now don't rub the towel on head liner, use your hand and rub the towel that is over the stain. Do this a few times and each time use a different part of the towel. Why this way? If you rub towel on head liner it may cause the head liner to become furry. This technique works on carpets also (auto and home).
