oil preccure switch

has any one out there had the misfortune to change a oil pressure switch on a 93 ranger with the 3 litre engine as i had stated in a previous thread i had rebuilt the motor and was getting 55 p.s.i. with a electric drill when pre lubing the engine on the floor. now that i have it in the best it does cold and at 800 r.p.m is about 40 and 18 when hot. i unhooked the guage end of the plastic line going to the engine and the oil just dribbles out so i am guessing i have pinched the line when putting the motor in. so the question is how in god,s name without pullind the motor do you get at the sending unit.i tee,d the unit with the mechanical line at the engine thanks sam

Most of these you can use a long extension with a flexible swivel and special socket.
Some of the switchs you can use an extension with a crowfoot. Usually special tools by lisle or calvan are stocked at the parts store for these jobs.
You have to keep the tool companies in business.

well i was afraid of that. does any one know what is normal fully warmed up pressure for a 3 litre at idle is. thanks
