guess specs????

just by looking can anyone tell me what kind of tire size,rim size and drop it has??? not sure on the tires but I think the rims are 22s with a mild drop not sure how many inches tho

The rims look like 20's and the drop looks like a 2'. but dont cuote me on that since Its only an educated guess.

Definately 20's and 3/4 drop. The wheels look like 22's because of the deep dish. My 3/4 didn't sit that high in the rear though. But it seems to vary slightly.

i would guess atleast a 3/4 drop maybe a 4/6 and most likely 20s .
my truck has a 2 inch drop in rear only and that just leveled the truck and have 22s and it sits alo higher than that.

I asked because I want my truck to look something like that can you have 22s and have it sit that low?? I still have my tis rims(20s) however, before my friend sold them to me I saw them on his truck and did not like the way they looked (and the truck was lowered not sure how much tho) he said because the tires where small now since I opened this thread it looks like the design of the rim is just as important I always was a fan of the deep dish look

I opened an earler thread on keep or selling them but now since I found this pic im leaning more towards selling them and getting what I Really want untill I make up my mind there probably just going to sit around

You can fit 22's easily on a 3/4 drop. There may be some rubbing issues (mainly with turning), but no big deal. Just don't go wider than 9" wide in the front. I had almost the exact same tires on my 20's. First I had 275/35s, then moved up to 275/40's.

I'd sell your wheels if you really want something else. You'll be a lot happier.

Look in my gallery and old posts for pics of my old truck to see tire/fender gap. It was little more than I wanted, but still looked great. 22's will fill it perfectly.

can you post an old pic up i cannot find one from what i can remember your truck did not look as low as the pic i posted but you said you had 22s so it would sit up higher

wow never got a chance to see that!!! it must have been hard for you to let that go what size do you think the tires are in the pic i posted???? the tires i have are 255's/35/20's what do the 2 numbers represent before the 20????? is it width and ???

the first number is the width and the 2nd is the distance from the wheel to top of tire.

Here's a link to a good definition of what the numbers mean. It's more or less what sportin said.

Since I can't see the tires that clearly I'm guessing the front could be anything b/w a 255/35 or 40 to a 275/35 or 40. The rear looks like to be around a 285/??

If you have any other pics I may be able to better guess. If you're really concerned, do some measuring on your truck. Get the overall height of the tires you plan on and use tape or string to indicate where about the drop will lower the fenders to. There will also be some settling of the suspension after you drive on it a bit. It usually will drop it another .25" to sometimes close to an inch. Just depends sometimes.

sorry to bring this back up did you have any problems with the rims hitting the curb this is one of the big reason why I want a nice size tire for the 20s or 22s

I had a few curb rashes, but they were mere scrapes. Could have been worse. You just have to be careful when parking on a street with a high curb.
