Re: tail light install

I have 4 bolts holding mine on, I have heard that 03-05 only have 3 bolts but I'm not sure as to how true that is. Just look at the back of the tail lights you bought and that will give you an idea as to where the bolts are. There is no trick just unbolt and pull like hell and dont forget to unclip your lights.

Dont "pull like hell" unless you are certain you have all the nuts taken off. Some of them are almost impossible to get to, especially to tighten. If you drop a nut....dont try and get it because it's gone...never to be seen again. You really have to get your hand in there to get to a couple of them. No trick, just Gumby hands.

LMAO I dropped a nut and took about all the plastic pieces out to try and get it. I finally was able to hit it with a screw driver and knock it down to my spare tire, I was so pissed. So yeah be carefull about dropping things down in it and yes also make sure you take all the nuts off. My taillights where a pain to get off after all the nuts where out is why I said to pull like hell. I think I was able to get to 3 of the nuts with a socket wrench and had to use a open wrench on one but I have long and skinny hands.

Re: tail light install

long skinny hands are a must. i have very long hands

but seriously, taking all the panels off makes it incredibly easier and you'll be able to see exactly what you are doing with every one of the bolts.

if you don't... well... you'll figure it out.
