1985 tranny or clutch problems

when i drop the clutch in 1st and then shift to second the engine revs but doesn't show any increse in speed but if i let off a lil it will catch and then go is it my clutch needing replacing or tranny? 1985 chevy s10 1.9l 4 banger

The clutch... and rear crankshaft, or front trans seal if either is leaking oil. Do you have freeplay at the top of clutch pedal travel?

yes there is free play in the clutch pedal about inch and a half of play and the throw out bearing makes that squeeling noise if i dont tap and hold it a lil bit while im driving.

Deffinatly time to replace your clutch. Manual transmissions can not slip.
