it quit ----help

My 85 chevy g20 quit while driving down the road.IT just went out,I have nothing no interior lights no ignition no starter noise (NOTHING) THE ONLY THING i DO HAVE IS HEADLIGHTS.I dont have hazards either.no power too nothing. I also have fog lights hooked directly to my battery ,and they work

sounds liek something gorunded out between the battery and ur accesories loo kfor any bare wires that are in contact with the fram or any metal that cud ground them out also it cud be a relay?

ok we tried looking for bare wires, not much room too look but couldn't find any.I did just replace the altenator three days before it died.gonna check up on relays.

Check the wire you hooked to the Alt the red one and the plug you plugged in. Also check where all the wires go from the engine comp. to inside the cab. There is a block with a bunch of wires and a bolt sometimes two holding it in. Wiggle this or push on it and see if you get any results.
