95/E350/351/remove oil pan
Curious,
Can oil pan be removed from my E-350 without removing engine? ![]() I want to replace the pan gasket, however I'd just as soon do the oil pump while I am down there! ![]() A couple posts implied that gasket can be done, what about removal? |

Re: 95/E350/351/remove oil pan
You CAN replace only the gasket w/o engine removal, and you *may* be able to replace the oil pump, but you CANNOT completely remove the oil pan w/o completely removing the engine from the van.

Re: 95/E350/351/remove oil pan
I have completely removed a oil pan on a 351W in a E250 van but had to remove the whole upper part of the fuel injection so the engine could be jacked up high enough to get the pan out.Took me 3 days. Pain in the A**.

Re: 95/E350/351/remove oil pan
changed the gasket and oil pump on a 85 300 6cyl. did it with just the room you can get with the pan dropped and the engine raised with the motor mounts loose. not real bad.
