tranny issues?

I just bought a 1997 gp gt for 500 bucks it runs great but when you put it in gear nothing happens it just does not move fluid does not smell burnt and is still red the motor was changed and within two weeks the car stopped moving or so im told i have no problem changing the tranny but wondered if it could be something stupid any help is greatly appreciated thanks

Change the tranny! Probably shot. Mine did the same thing and had to have it rebuilt. If you can change it yourself you can save a bunch of money.
