thinking about getting an stealth

hi, i was looking at cars to buy and i saw a dodge stealth rt turbo . and i was wondering what type of problems people are having with it. it is a 96 one.and how overall it's realibity is.

if you found a 96 dodge stealth rt turbo, then that car is very rare, and most likely quite expensive (if the seller knows what he has). there were only 57 rt turbos ever made http://stealth316.com/2-production.htm. what is his asking price?

the place was close and it did not have a price on it jsut the year and the model of it. and the mileage on it. ( 60k) i should probelly test drive it to see how well i can handle it.

I'm not sure if I'd believe that it's a 96'. Only 57 RT/TT's were made in that year.

I realize they are rare, but why can't it be a 96 RT/TT. There were only 6x as many 96 vr4s, and I found one. That being said, they have a point, it is rare, so run a carfax.

reason why i said its probably not a 96 rt/tt is that IF it was, it would have most likely been out of his price range. however, there are people who might have one for sale, and not know their true value.

the place wants 20k for it and it has a salvage title on it. and it's only the body of a 96 the engine is from either a 94 or 95. so i probelly won't get it becuase of the cost with the title it has plus he is not sure on what engine it is from.

that's one 96 rt/tt gone down the dumper. i say that b/c it had an engine swap, no longer original stuff. but that really doesn't matter THAT much. i guess if you're talking classic rare cars, then it does.

but ya, don't pay 20k for a car with a salvage title.

I 100% agree. Stay away from any car that is selling for 20k with a salvage title.
