Got it all fixed.

Well i finaly took my car to the tranny shop to get the flexplate fixed. It runs and sounds so SO much better. He put a new flexplate on it and he had to replace the front tranny seal, that was $60 more. ALong with all of this he cleaned the pump and put a new filter and fluid in it. He showed me the old one and it had not even 1/2 inch of metal holding it on. if i would have drove a little more it would have flown off and broke ALOT of crap. All together it was $340 and he got it done in a day. I think he also adjusted my TV cable because i got on it when i left and it got a massive 2nd gear skid. It did this for about 30min now it does not hit 2nd that hard any more. I plan on getting a shift kit later tho.

That's cool. Isn't it nice to have shit like that fixed and not hanging over your head anymore?

Re: Got it all fixed.

You shouldn't be that hard on the tranny for a little while.

Re: Got it all fixed.

why not? i thought that you should not be hard only if you get it rebuilt. all i had done is the flexplate and a new front seal.

Re: Got it all fixed.

All the fluid was removed, you need to allow the fluid to 'stabilize' through the whole system. So like the first few hundred miles it shouldn't really be romped on.
