1994 Ford Escort Wagon

Last night I jumped another car. I noticed my interior lights flickered, radio flickered, and the wipers turned on really fast. I then was driving home and it did it again, while driving, and my car turned off. Nothing works now, except for the headlights. I checked the fuses, one was blown, and I replaced it, nothing new. Does anyone know what happened and how it can be fixed?

Re: 1994 Ford Escort Wagon

Many people hook up jumper cables incorrectly... the negative cable on the car you are jumping is supposed to be hooked up to an engine or body ground, not to the negative terminal of the battery.

Did you do it this way?

I would guess you got too much juice in the system and something got fried... do you have any power at all when you turn the key? Electricity is fairly simple... start at the battery and see where it goes... where the power stops is where the problem is
