1999 LeSabre

My neighbor probably needs her battery replaced on her Buick. I took a quick look in order to try it for her. Does the fender bracket have to be removed in order for the battery to come out. It is angled directly above the battery. Otherwise, it looks like a tight fit. Any short-cuts?

My 98 doesn't have a bracket across the battery area. I'm on the second battery since December 1997.

I'd recommend going to Walmart, getting the largest capacity MAXX battery for that application and letting them put it in. Do I understand correctly they will check battery free (they've done it for me) and put in the new one FREE?

Even if battery isn't done, it's in 7th year (my MAXX is warrantied for 7 years) and I would replace it just to avoid having to replace at an inconvenient time. It's like replacing tires when they get down to 20 or 15% or10% rather than waiting for a leak of failure.
