MAF Sensor install

Does the computer have to be reset when you install a new MAF sensor?
I replaced one that was shot, but and it didn't fix the problem I'm having.
(Which could obviously also mean that the MAF wasn't my only prob )
But I just thought I'd ask.

thanks

Re: MAF Sensor install

No. The ECM/PCM will recognize MAF input within a proper range and start using the input to trim fuel. Eventually, new data tables will be written based on the "new" inputs.

What year?
