87 crx b16 shift linkage

im about to drop a b16 into my 87 crx. i have almost everything i need from hasport except the shift linkage. i called up hasport to c if they still had it and they said that that part was discontinued. i need to know what shift linkage i can shorten to fit. i figure cutting it shorter would b easier than extending. and if anybody has done this swap befor, what clutch cable and throttle cable do i need to use. and is their any info i need to know befor i find out the hard way. any help please this is all im waiting for. :[
