Head lights are all Foggy

On my 1999 Intrigue my headlights are all foggy. Is there away of fixing these suckers.

If you remove the headlight there are several drain tubes on the back, you need to make sure all these are free of debris. That would be where I would start.

I assume you meant foggy as in actual condensation inside the headlight?

If theyre just dirty you can use glass cleaner to get the inside pretty clean.

You can either take all the bulbs out and dump some glass cleaner in there and swirl it around, or you could take the assembly completely apart, which although it is a pain, would be more effective.

Yes I should have said codensation and yes I did check all of the drain tubes and they were all clean. any suggestions or do I need to buy new?

sounds like you have a bad gasket on it the headlight for the intrigue are not cheap unless you go to a junk yard or e-bay but if you go to a junk yard you got a slim to none chance that its in perfect shape 9 times out of 10 the car has been damaged in front you can rig up a new gasket for the headlights like i did just use rubber gasket and use silicone and that should help ive done it on my wifes car and cleaned it all up

yes you can pry the headlight apart, its kind of a pain, supposedly it helps a lot to heat them up by putting them in the oven for a while on a relatively low temp, id say about 150? im not real sure, when i took mine apart to remove the amber lenses, i just pryed them apart at room temp, which kinda sucked.

If you take em apart you might as well go ahead and clear the corners too, makes a difference in looks if you ask me.

there is a much, much simpler way. I was looking around all night on here, and I had the answer right under my nose. Naval Jelly. it stops the progression of rust, eliminates oxidation, tarnish. it works on glass, plexiglass, enamel, fiberglass. All of that kinda stuff, so i tried it on my &*"""Piece's"""*&-1995 Ford Contour GL headlamp exteriors, and now there is no yellow and the very, very little fogyness that is left over can be wiped away with something around 2500 grit sandpaper, electric buffer, Rain-X , Plastic-X, Meguires, Mothers and all other kinds of waxes(don't use turtle wax, that section looks like green radiator fluid stain) GL!!!

Hi guys,

I just did the windex swish on my intrigue's headlights yesterday. Worked great. No more spider webs in there any more, but now I have dreaded water marks in there. Is there any kind of conditioner you guys have used to prevent that? What I did is swished windex in there, then drained and flushed them out with water. After that I set them in the sun with a hair dryer blowing through them to dry them. They are magnificently clean now, but I am left with the odd water mark. Aside from taking the lenses off and cleaning them by hand I don't know what to do.
