1991 Water Pump
1991 Sunbird LE 3.1L, many many kilometers.
I'm currently experiencing a coolant leak. I'm unable to verify where it's coming from (hoses and rad) so my next guess is the water pump. I understand that I should be able to see coolant leaking from the weeping hole but that's where the problem lies -- I can't be positive that the part I'm looking at is actually the water pump as I can't see any weeping holes. Does anyone know of a weblink that shows my model car's engine compartment well marked, as I'm unable to find said picture, nor does my Hayne's Rapair Manual show a very good picture of it's location. Thanks very much. |

Re: 1991 Water Pump
The water pump is behind the top-most smooth pulley toward the front of the engine. If you remove the pulley (4 bolts) you should be able to see the weep hole in the casting.
