Arrow "Yatzee Shaker"

Hello all,

Has anyone ever managed to get rid of (fix) that infamous and highly annoying "Yatzee Shaker" sound, mentioned in this forum many times and if yes, how?

98 Intrigue GL,

-A

Re: "Yatzee Shaker"

Actually there is nothing to fix, I had the unfortunate experience of blowing both my abs pump and module when i applied the e-brake in an emergency while i had my abs running full tilt on my regular brakes = burned out. From this point on every time i started my car the abs/brake light were not on, until i started moving and immediatly AFTER the yatzee rattle only then would the light come on. the yatzee rattle you hear, is the same noise you hear when say you slam your brakes on a wet highway, that pulsating clicking noise indicating your abs is running. all it is, is a self test performed by the abs, if the test fails, then after the yatzee rattle your light will come on to indicate a problem.

Re: "Yatzee Shaker"

Hi there Laser17,

Do you own a 98 Intrigue? Does this sound came only with the 98's or does all Intrigues have it. I think it's a design flaw but then again, it is a GM!

A great highway car but city driving is bothersome.

Thanks for replying,
