99 Durango Transmission slipping
It seems like when I start out on a hill trans slips from 1st to 2nd .
Would the speed sensor have anything to do with this? I changed fluid 99 durango 5.2 Thank You in advance |

Was the filter changed and what kind of fluid added? Is fluid level good when hot. Any engine or transmission codes? It would be a good idea to get it on a transmission and engine capable scanner and see if it shows anything. MT

how many miles are on it. have you ever done a 2nd gear band adjustment. they ussually take a good beating. its on the driver side of the tranny right above the pan. like a 13/16 jam nut and a 5-16 allen. tighten all the way and back off 1 full turn. did this on mine and ended up turning it in 1 3/4 turns in, so it was 3/4 turn out of adjustment. to adjust the third gear band you have to pull the pan.
