325ic headlight Issue

My daughters low beams went out on her 1990 325ic.I went to the car the next day and tried the lights and the lows did not work, but the high beams worked and the lows came on with the highs (but not on low only). I tapped the low beam relay, checked fuses 12 and 13 (good) and still a no go. I removed the back cover on the passenger side bulb, and then the electrical connector and took a voltage reading (ignition on) and that was good. I reconnected the electrical connector and now the low beams work. I assume a bad connection but does the passenger side low beam tie into the drivers side low beam wiring, if not why did both lights (sealed beam) suddenly work?

Re: 325ic headlight Issue

Not too worry, I believe it must be in the switch (multi-function lever) and I am taking the lever out and cleaning with electric contact cleaner.
