Sooo thought I would do the Sepang test bike see below, get the Valencia kit
and do the usgp version in the ITALERI 1/9 YAMAHA YZR-M1 "ROSSI LAGUNA"
which is out now

Will need a bit of C/F though(that will be why asked about c/f a few weeks ago)
Need a few supplies for other project's so they have come to a stall ,so have started on this starting with fairins this time (hate doing decals rather be building)

Re: M1 05 sepang test

This will be interesting. Have a look at www.mautomobile.com at Hudsons build of the same bike. Excellent! I will follow your progress.

Re: M1 05 sepang test

I must add that Hudson on Mautomobile is doing the 04 test version so you're all alone on this :-) No get that CF out (not that I would ever dare to start something like this up. But then again I'm a real coward...)

Re: M1 05 sepang test

I plan on making a test bike very similarly with the 04 Fortuna team. Good luck with the CF.

Re: M1 05 sepang test

Have done a little bit on this not much but it's a start
The c/f on side panel went down really well ,while will have to redo tail section not very happy with it so will have to get another sheet of c/f

A wee bit more micro sol/set on these bits and they are nearly finnished
just seen tank and will be redoing that as I see in my rush forgot to sand smooth bugger.

Re: M1 05 sepang test

This looks great. Can you tell me approximately how many pieces of CF decal you have used for the larger parts, like the side cowlings. I can't really spot that many edges.

Re: M1 05 sepang test

Joel- the side cowl is one large piece with a few little peice's that go in the awarked places like the indent on cowl (the little triangle bit if you know what I mean?)
The spiderman decals from Ren have some mask shapes with them ,so I made a copy of them a while ago (had a feeling big T would bring out 05 M1)

Re: M1 05 sepang test

Great job fitting one large piece over that large cowl.
