Dropped Airbag Sensors - Are They Still Good???
I am parting out a 98 s-10. Someone wanted the core support and someone else wanted to buy the sensors that were mounted on it. I used a dremel tool to remove the rivets and then dropped the sensors on a concrete floor. If this guy buys these sensors will they deploy the airbags if they're installed correctly? They were disconnected from power for a couple weeks before this happened. Please respond if you're positive about this situation. Thank you very much

Re: Dropped Airbag Sensors - Are They Still Good???
If the sensor has been dropped...DO NOT use it.
Also never probe SIR circuits with a logic probe or self powered test lamp If you don't know what you are doing ....don't F*** with it... This is a safety item that can kill you if you incorrectly test the system.

Probing a 120v hair dryer with a 6,12,or 24v logic probe could get you killed.
