The warnings may vary a bit depending on the year and engine in your Taurus. However, general warnings would be to be careful not to get the cleaner or water/rinse in electrical connections, the alternator, spark plug wells, coils/CoP, or on the painted surfaces. Certainly I'd suggest not using high pressure water or a steam cleaner.

Also, yield any other warnings on the can.

Some engine cleaners smell *real bad* and you can smell it for a long time every time the engine gets hot. I used some on my lawn mower and it was citrus scented and didn't smell bad at all and did a good job. Goes without saying, don't clean it when the engine is hot, maybe just a tad warm to the touch, but not hot.

This stuff cleans a whole lot better if you brush the surface to be cleaned with a parts cleaning brush right after spraying it on. I prefer the Gunk brand over some of the generic copies because some of the generic stuff has a terrible smell if you get it on your clothes or skin.

"some of the generic stuff has a terrible smell if you get it on your clothes or skin." You got that right and I forgot to tell you to make darn sure you wear safety goggles because if you get it in your eyes, . . . . WHOA Ma'Ma and Katie bar the door! I believe all those cleaners are high detergent content and very caustic so protect them precious peepers and wear goggles.

Thumbs up Re: Engine Bright anybody use it?????

I prefer to use Purple Power, it comes in a 1 gallon jug at Wally World for about $4. With a 50/50 mixture of Purple power and water in a spray bottle, spray everything under the hood and let it set for a few minutes. Spray again and go over everything with a soft brush. Hose off with the nozzle set on "shower" and your done.
