new to the forums...need some advice

hello all. glad to be a part of the crx community. so heres my first question. i recently bought an 89 crx hf, and started on the body work and such..now that im finished with that i sourced a 91 integra with a b18a1. ive got swap mounts on the way, i was just wondering if there are any problems or things i should know before hand, i know that im gonna use the front and rear spindles and disk brakes from the integra, that way ill have disks all around and so the integra axles will fit. im a pretty confident mechanic and have performed the same swap in a 89 ef civic sedan and an 89 hatchback. just let me know if theres anything majorly different to perform this swap in a crx,( bending, bracing, etc) thanks in advance for all your help and pardon the crappy typing.

if you have done it before you wont have a problem. just make sure you bang the frame rail out for clearance of the alternator and the rear crossmember lip for the mount.

I recently swapped a b18 into a 91 si hatch and we had problems with the crankpulley not clearing the frame rail, we thought it might have had something to do with the car being in an accident before but I searched more on honda-tech and found that other people had the same problem, but it didnt make much sence to me still.

Re: new to the forums...need some advice

With swapping the brakes from the teg, make sure the teg is non-abs and remember to swap the MC, booster and 4040 prop valve along with the spindles.

I posted pictures and listed what all to do when swaping spindles (all the tutorials (at that time... dont know about now) were only for swaping the entire control arm)
