Finished Toyota Corolla WRC Catalunya '98

Finished this one off this week and very pleased with how it's come out.
I wanted to fill the already superb Tamiya interior out a bit so added the second spare wheel these cars often carried, it was rare they only got one puncture!
I also added a tool roll just above it and straps to hold the spares in place.
Carbon fibre decal is used throughout and I removed all the detail from the dash with a file and then replicated it using my detail parts. The electrical cut off switch is made using a strip of styrene on a photoetch disc.
Seatbelts are my usual Modellers items.
Finally I removed all the exterior detail too and then replaced them using etched screw heads and the hardware that the spots locate onto.
I finshed the rear off with tameo bonnet pins and used reflective material for the license plate.

Geez the other day i was thinking there weren't enough Corolla WRC cars being built but now they are coming from left right and centre... keep em coming!!

I like the extra detail you have put in the interior, also the finish of the decals look good. I have just started the same car to accompany the one i have just recently posted, hope it finishes up as good as yours.

Very Nice finish.Good job on the decals,I know from the experience I had building mine that they can be tricky,especially those green sections around the bumper.You have made an excellent job on them.Well done.

That's a nice touch, putting some 'road rash' on the spare tire. Plus sanding the other tires to knock the sheen down. Excellent build.
