HELP! My car wont start!
Aite. . heres what happened. . . I hooked up my autometer water temp gauge today. I tapped the water temp sensor wire directly from the engine, tapped into a positive connection from a novelty horn that I have (always live), I grounded it, and I hooked up the lite. . .When it was all hooked up my check engine light went on and it wouldnt start. I reset the ECU twice and I got the same results. . .I unhooked the live positive wire from the gauge and now it started. . .What should I do so that my gauge works and my car starts??? Oh yea, I got a 97 accord se and my temp gauge broke installing indiglos. . .

did you disconnect the old one, or is that still drawing a charge from the sensor? other than that i would say just trying to connect to things in different places. the instructions should have been helpful for this.
