ok ive got a 96 4 cylinder automatic contour
it wont start when it tries it sound like a metal on metal grinding noise
the belts turn so its not locked up
but i dont know wuts wrong
ive already replaced the spark plugs/wires
air filter and battery
any hel would be greatly appreciated

also i wuz wondering if i could swap it with a ford focus motor if i couldnt get it runnig or can i put focus motor parts on my contour motor??

does the belts turn when you try to start it?, if so remove the serpentine belt and see if it still grinds, if so check flex plate to starter, then internal engine bearings. I had a broken flex plate
