Well just got back from the track, I ran 4 times. 15.7, 15.8, 15.4 and 15.1
sorry no time slips, they were having tech problems with the print.

Mods
HKS super flow intake (stock piping)
NGK 8mm wires
Denso plugs
Hotshot headers
Custom full exhaust with apexi n1 muffler
OBX short shifter

Thats all, I'm saving my money twards my ka-t set up, suspension and brakes.

Nice man. I've been wondering what a sohc Ka runs on average. I need to find out. I know you've got the dohc. I've never been to the track with mine. Need to get hold of some of my friends that run their domestics.

not bad at all i was running 15.5-14.5 with nitrous and a slipping clutch. 15.1 is awsome with those mods.

I realize that a stock 89 hatch with a sohc KA isn't the fastest 240 out there. I would be a complete Dee Dee Dee to think that. I was just interested in getting a baseline for my car to check the progress when I do start with the power mods. I'm the 2nd owner and have known the original owner since before she bought it. It has been very well taken care of for the past 17 years. Hell, I went with her when she picked it up from the dealership in 89.

Anyone got any ideas of where to start? What can I do to this KAE as far as mods until I got the cash to drop on a KADE. I'm probably gonna get flamed for this next question, but here goes: What the hell is a POP charger?

Anyway for starters, I'm thinkin catback exhaust. What kind of intakes are available for the KAE?

Just some questions to reaffirm my AF newbie status!
