5x108 RH rims
Hi,
i found a great deal on a set of Racing Hart C5 3 peice wheels but it is only available in the 5x108 lug pattern and it will cost me only $1100 brand new with tires. I'm assuming that the reason of the rims being so cheap is that it is in an domestic car lug pattern and they have no interest in japanese wheels. anyways. here is the question. should i purchase those wheels in a 5x108 pattern and bring it to a profesional wheel shop and have them drill 4 new holes. 4x100. i believe once i have accomplished this, my wheels will have 9 holes. 5x108 and 4x100 lug pattern. i've noticed on some RH wheels that they offer a 4x100 and 5x100 lug pattern on the same wheel. is there any disadvantage to me modifying these wheels so i can save about $600-700 ++? the rim shop said they will guarantee that the wheel will balance true but will not warranty any structual damage on the wheel if additional holes has been drilled onto it. that is the only thing i am kinda worried about. so please help... =] |

Personally drill into a wheel is not such a great idea. It will decrease the integrity of the wheel. Next corner you take too hard the wheel will prolly explode. Just find another wheel.
