12.422 @ 111mph

Went to the track for the last time this year. It was in the 50's. I was running without the passenger side head light. I just installed 550cc injectors last night, so I sent about 20 minuets getting the wideband AFR with 50/50 h20/meth mix dialed in to 12:1 AFR. The first run was 12.78 at 21psi, I was getting 3.4 deg retard in the top of 3rd so I added fuel from 4500rpm +. Second run was a 12.5, same boost. for some reasion I was getting the same amount of knock so I let it sit for about an hour and added a couple more clicks on the fuel slider and ran a 12.422 ET, 1.76 0-60 foot at 111mph on 11.8 AFR & 21psi. For some reason I'm only getting 14 deg timing advance. There is definitly room to move on this turbo. I was only seeing 35lb/min. A little more practace, and some cams I'll be in the 11's on my full weight 2g next year..

Stock clutch, tranny, 7bolt, suspention, wheels/tires.

Had a good DSM turn out, got to meet a couple people I have only know on the new forum, didn't loose any races, and shatterd my 12.99 goal.. I'll post up a log tomarrow night when I get off work...

Awesome run! Thats good considering everything thats still stock. I can definetly see you touching an 11.99 with a few changes to your setup.

Re: 12.422 @ 111mph

sounds like you would run even better if you went somewhere and got dyno tuned. the average cost is 100 and hour and its well worth it

What program do I need to read your log? I'd really like to see the details of it.

Re: 12.422 @ 111mph

yeah man there is definitely some room for improvement, but great job scott!

If you keep 60'ing like that you will only lower your time

I'm showing an ecu estimated afr of above 12 most of the time on 550s. Your wideband was showing in the 11's? I think your airflow is not being monitored correctly for two reasons. only 35lbs of air and you ran a mid 12? and also your boost estimate never gets above 18, and you say you were running 21, so that's a problem there. Also, is your boost falling towards redline? The log says it's falling. That's a 3bar right? so boostest is accurate? Did you dial in the injectors using ltft via link?

Re: 12.422 @ 111mph

I'm guessing by the meth injection you are running pump gas?

You are pretty lean for pump gas. 10.8-11.2 is a good set of numbers to go by, especially if you are running meth injection. Meth is a lot leaner than gasoline at that AFR so you need to adjust your tables for that too.

12.4 is pretty impressive with 21psi. I'd bet with some more tuning and a little more boost, switch to race gas and you would probably see an 11.

Re: 12.422 @ 111mph

Congrats scottsee, that gives me hope for an 11 on an Evo III 16g in my car. (I am teetering between Evo III 16g and the 50 trim now)
