96 maxima dies when coming to a stop

after stopping it will restart. when drops below 700 rpm it will stall. Keep it above that it will stay running.

Re: 96 maxima dies when coming to a stop

try wiggling and twisting the harness on the passenger side back by the fire wall, see if engine idle changes or if it stalls, Or you can try adjusting the Idle up a little so you can keep it running. Check engine light on? is it happening all the time?

I just thought of something. This will put your check engine light on , unless it's already on. If your Vech is having a hard time Idling. Try this First. Unplug MAF sensor and then start it see if it stalls. If not now you have a place to start. You won't be able to accelerate with it unplugged. Thats only to test if it will idle.
