Question SUNROOF WON'T Close

I have a 2000 cavalier, my sunroof will open but it won't shut. However, it's been doing this for years, having problems with both opening and closing it. Today, it was opened slightly so I went to close it, hitting the wrong side and it started to open. I then hit the correct side of the button and it stopped but it would not close. Is there a way to close it manually?

Re: SUNROOF WON'T Close

thats not very smart, opening it when you know damn well theres a chance its not gonna close, but yes, like everything power, when it fails, there is a way to do it manually, its just 1000 times harder, youll have to take out your headliner, like you're going to replace the sunroof, and just start fucking around with it, find out whats stopping it from closing, and work around that, i dont think anyones gonna be able to give you a step-by-step for manually closing it though,
