Hosing out the engine

Hello,

Would it hurt my engine if I took my hose and sprayed the mud off all the parts in the engine?

Thanks.

Regards,
Doggie

Depends where you spray but I still wouldn't. Take the time and do it right with wash cloths and what not.

make sure there is some over your air filter and make sure the engine is cool down a good bit, and stay away from open wires, once it is clean suck the water out of the spark plug area's with a shop vac and then start it up and let it dry the rest of the way

Re: Hosing out the engine

I hate using the hose under the hood now, i used to be able to do it fine, but now it makes it run like living hell for like 20 mins, and throws a code etc.. Water gets all where its not supposed to n crap. Id just wash it down urself, does a better job anyways.
