why is my car idiling so fast?
i recently replaced the injectors in my car and now the car goes straight to 5000 rpms on startup. i have a custom chip to handle the larger injectors, i have no vac. leaks, everything is hooked up correctly, replaced the tps and iac even know everything was fine before and still nothing helps. i'm all out of ideas. PLEASE HELP!!!

this is on a 93 3.1 cavalier

Re: extremely fast idle

Did you put larger injectors in? Did this happen before the injectors and the chip? Do the revs drop after 5k on startup?

I personally dont like chipping cars, that could be farting with the ECU and making it run funny. Try putting the old injectors in if u have them, if it still does it, pull the chip and try it out.

Re: extremely fast idle

swapped in diff. chips. all had the same results.

now the update:
earlier i took everything back apart just for shits and giggles. either that or it would've just sit. well again everything was fine, o-rings, injectors seated properly. however the only thing i noticed was the pvc hose end where it actually connects to the pcv was connected, but slightly crooked. put everyting back together and walla.

NEW PROB:
now the car ran rough for a litttle while and eventually leveled off which is expected, but it' still is around 1500.

Leaking GMC Sonoma (Extended Cab Windows)

Anyone with experience replacing the weatherstripping on the "foldout" windows" with the extended cab trucks. My son has 91 Sonoma and the rear windows are leaking. I used some "goop" as recommended by a local auto glass shop, this slowed the leak but did not stop. Am I best leaving this to a professional?
