Nissan Serena NATS

Does anybody know anything about the Nissan anti theft system (NATS)? Since a few months the red light of the NATS goes on when I try to start the engine and it doesn't start. There is a little trick to get ist started: Interrupt the electrical connection to the engine control module (ECM) a few seconds. That sometimes helps. But only sometimes. The Nissan dealer would take about $ 1000 to fix it and since nobody would try to steal our car I don't need any NATS. Does anybody know any means to bypass the NATS? I would thank you very very much!
