Grille Removal
So I had a little run in with the boat motor the other day. It wrecked my grille, head light, and turn signal assembly on my 99 Blazer. I myself the new headlight today from a local shop (since I kinda need the light and blinker as soon as possible. Now I just gotta get my grille (which I'm getting from a place on ebay), and the turn signal light.
My question is, how easy is it to remove the grille. (It's an LS model with chrome on the top and in the middle with the bowtie...nothing appears to really lay on the bumper at all) From the part that broke...it just looks like the usual metal clip tabs. Can I just basically pull it off and work my way around??? Also, it doesn't look like the new grille comes with the bowtie emblem...will the old one just unsnap and clip onto the new grille? Thanks... |

Re: Grille Removal
The grille just snaps in,
Also your Bowtie emblem is held on with two 10mm nuts When you pop the grille off, you will have to disconnect the parking lights Remember to reconnect them on the install... Very easy job.....

Re: Grille Removal
on a 95 there should be 4 screws on the front of the top edge of the core support. the bottom is held in by plastic clips. just remove the screws and pull the grill off carefully as to not break the plastic clips.

Thanks for the info...removing one of the parking lights is no problem...it currently resides on the floor in front of my passenger seat inside the blazer. |
