rsx and se-r spec-v

:smoka:

the nissan has about a snowball's chance in hell of beating a type-s
top hp on the spec-v isn't much, i'm not sure exactly, but i know it's not over 160-170...

the rsx type s or the rsx base? dont' even worry about the base rsx. they're pretty weak. however i witnessed a race between an se-r (not the spec v) and an rsx-s, the rsx-s was ahead by a car's length at the end of the race according to the driver. an rsx-s and spec v would be pretty close off the line. i would have to say the spec v might have it 0-60 coz it has more torque. but the 1/4 mile i may have to side with the rsx-s, more high end.

yea. I think that the rsx will definately beat the spec-v. the type-s anyways. the base rsx would probably lose.

Don't you know, it's 10 hp for every sticker, 50 hp extra for every additional inch of rear spoiler behond stock height.

i think this is a pretty damn good race, i'm sided on the better driver,
it's true the rsx-s has a better top end, but the spec v has overall bandwith, the cvtc opens up another intake runner at 5k, much like vtec or vvtl-i in toyotas, so it can hang up top also
but definitely both cars are practically even in speed, maybe the rsx-s just by not even a tenth

This comment goes out the individual who said that the SpecV has a snowball chance of beating a RSX TypeS. Dawg, your over here making it sound like it would plain just blow out the water. Yes the RSX TypeS has more horsepower to the wheels than the SpecV, now compare 180lbs of torque for the SpecV's to 142lbs of torque for yours. Do the physics, 200hp-142lbs TQ vs. 175-180hp/180lbs TQ. That's gonna be pretty close if you think about it. I personally ran about four different people. The only race the was pretty close was this guys front bumper to my back bumper and all I have is an AEM intake. I take it you've never ran one yet. This debate will never end, all I wanna say is that both cars stock for stock is gonna be pretty damn close no matter who wins.

I went to the track yesterday and there was a guy there with a TYPE-S and the best he could do was 15.4, he had a air intake and exhaust, and Im all stock with my SPEC. I kept getting 15.3 and got 15.2 twice. Me personally I think its a drivers race of course.

The RSX-S will kill a spec V. The RSX-S can edge my 00GTS 6 speed by a door and i can take a SPEC V with no problem.

Due to the low end TQ of the spec V, it'll take the RSX-S off the line, but by the time the RSX-S is in its high end in 2nd gear, it'll creep up on the Spec V. And 3rd, it's gone......pretty quick too. Happens like that all the time...

go to the spec v forum http://forums.thevboard.com/index.php

those guys even admit, they can't take an RSX-S or GTS stock for stock.
