Cracked Flexplate 99 zx2
Took awhile to find this, had to pull the trans to be sure. This link has a good picture of what goes wrong. The car has 110K miles on it, sounded bad only at idle and anything over 2000rpm, 2.0 DOHC, you would think rods, mains, were perhaps bad. Cracked area was hidden behind washer plate and cracked entirely close around the crankshaft bolt area. $100 plate through Ford.
