'92 PAU Alternator

The battery feed connector on the alternator broke off at about 1/4 inch. It still holds the wire on but probably not for long. Can the connector be replaced or will I need to get a new alternator? The alternator works fine(14v) and I hate to buy a new one if it's not needed. Thanks for any words of wisdom.

Re: '92 PAU Alternator

You might try an alternator/starter repair shop in your area. Usually they keep some in stock and might even install it for you for a few bucks.

Re: '92 PAU Alternator

Is this your original Delcotron CS130 or CS144 alternator?

Because if it is then it is a keeper and I agree with Bo that you should get the connector repaired by an automotive electrical shop.

The aftermarkets leave a lot to be desired and the GM OEM are expensive.
