Any certain Model i should be looking for?

Hey ppl i dont have much time to do research so i thought id just ask the ppl that would know best aaaaand here i am.

So my question is im looking for on old model truck that i can slowly turn into a Muscletruck im guessing the term might be lol dont flame me to much if i sound like a goof. But i was thinking something from the 70's thats kind of Original something i can be real damn proud of when im done i want to raise it and turn it into a real monster over time so any info would help TONS.

PS sorry if that was kinda hard to understand im typing this with 1 hour sleep in the last 2 days

You want to raise it so I'm gonna take a guess and say you want to off-road with it. The '86 and before GM trucks are good...everything is dirt cheap for them and they're very very easy to work on. My friend and his dad are always building another one...they're on their 6th one right now.

Yah i would liek to offroad with for sure AND its kinda going to be the Symbol vehicle for my Metal band so i was thinking along the lines of something that looks like the car from the zztop album eliminator i think it was but truck i love the big round fenders if i knew mroe about trucks i would try and find a pic of the model im thinkin of or something close to it Thanks for the quick reply.

Crazy i just saw almost the exact vehicle on the way to the corner store and i couldnt tell if it was an old truck with a canopy or if it was maybe an old van? sheesh i hope im not drivin u ppl nuts already with not knowin what i want lol but u guys have no idea how thankful i am for the help.
