Starter from hell!

Guys I need your help, I cannot remove the starter from my 1999 4runner 4cyl 2wd. I got i jacked up in front, on jack stands, driver side tire removed. I tried from the top, the side, and the bottom, and can not find the 2nd bolt. I can see the first bolt. I really need some tips or direction, I've read every thing in the faq, but none really help with removing the starter

Re: Starter from hell!

Look for a stud with a nut some units are installed this way. Use a short 3/8 inch extension just a little longer than the starter. If you found the bottom bolt the other bolt should be on top of the starter run your hand around the starter and feel. Once you feel it put the socket on it and loosen. With the extension the ratchet is back of the starter. Otherwise you need a curved wrench.
