how do i find out what gear ratio my 1994 chevy suburban 2wd has? does it have something to do with the vin#?

Look at that option sticker in your glove box and find the RPO codes that begin with G, then go to this page and find the ratio that you have http://www.c2e.biz/rpocodes/MODERNGMRPO.html
