SES Light on.
I took my car in for a basic tune up and a fuel injector cleaning "since it was due" and now The SES light stays on. The codes I'm getting are Transient P0453 pass since Ignition, 1441 (history) and 1811 (history).
I have replace the gas cap with a aftermaket one Advanceauto parts, but the P0453 code keep coming. I have yet to look for leak, I hoping for a good place to start. |

Re: SES Light on.
It doesn't look like the evaporative emissions system has a leak but an electrical problem.
DTC P0453 means the pressure sensor used to test evaporative emissions is defective (open). The P1811 tranny history code indicates a line pressure problem was detected at one time or another possibly pressure control solenoid (PCS) related. The pressure sensor is located at the top of the fuel pump pod. DTC P1441 is Evaporative Emissions Purge Flow Fault meaning the purge solenoid may be stuck open. It may be related to the pressure sensor problem.

Re: SES Light on.
I guess I was careless because I just replace this same item not even three months ago for being faulty. Thanks for the help Old Hot Rodder.
[quote=bnaylor] A lot of times when the fuel pump pod is replaced the fuel level sensor and float may get damaged if the person doing the work is careless. [quote=bnaylor] |
