will engine fit?

I have a 1996 cavalier and i was wondering if a 2001 sunfire engine would fit in it.

My cavalier right now has a 2.4L engine with a 4 speed automatic transmission and i want to switch it with a 2.4L sunfire engine with a 5 speed manual transmission......can it be done?

...........It can be done but with obviously some modifications. I'm sure there is some more to do with it, I dont know if you would have to swap the ECU's. wait for cody (classicrocjunkie) to leave a post because he knows more about it.

you can to convert a few things to make it a manual, besdies the tranny, like adding a clutch pedal and the entire setup under the hood (slave and stuff)
