help! 98 mcz34 wont start..

i see many other post but i do not know to much about cars at all..i have a 98 monte z34 a couple months ago i tried to start it for the first time and it did nothing the lights stayed bright though nothing dimmed at all..then 10 minutes later it started right up and i have not had another problem until today..it is doing the same thing light stay bright but when i turn the key over i get nothing..ive been trying for 3 hours now..im judging by threads im guessing vats or starter..ne suggestions..

and also i checked the fuses..i tried to jump it off...and the security light only comes on for about 10 seconds..just some more info.

Once again.. starter.. or if you dont feel like getting a new one, have a place check the starter (Autozone, Orielly Autoparts) they do it for free.
