boost controller help

I just upgraded trubos from stock to a 14b. the turbo is working fine. but what I need to know is where do I get the pressure source to run my boost controller? with the stock turbo it was easy the pressure source was right on the turbo. the only thing i can think of is to run it from the b.o.v. line but that not a good idea. the j-pipe i got was from dejon tool. thanks

Re: boost controller help

you can tap into the j pipe if you want. Or you CAN run it from the BOV but it isnt the best cause boost spike since its so far from the turbo.

Re: boost controller help

Tap the J pipe, or tap the lower intercooler pipe.

DO NOT tap the bov line. I originally had my mbc hooked up like that, but I kept loosing boost early. Now, it holds rock steady at 15psi. Plus, I now get around 10psi in 1st gear when I only used to get around 1-3 psi. Much better boost control.

Re: boost controller help

wait, so you dont need to use a vacum? ok i have mine taped into the BOV and i lose boost really fast to. i can use the pressure line off the turbo you say (stock T25) because i just plugged that, so i could use that as a positive pressure source the the boost controler, then straight to the wastegate??? right?

I'm confused on what you're asking. Tap the MBC into your turbo outlet and then the other side to the wastegate. Enjoy stable boost levels.

ok, but can i use the fitting on the stock T25 turbo used in the OEM configurating with the BIS sencor? the line that i sould run the the positive boost source, is the same line i'm running the tap to the BOV,right?
