abs module

abs and break light is on, there's a fuse under the hood on the right-side 60A abs, i took that fuse out because the abs module was running it would not go off. and that's when those two light came on, if i put the fuse back in, the lights go off, but then the abs module start running again. that wil kill the battery. i got a price of $980.00 from gmc to replace the module. 2001 gmc yukon

Like said more info neded.

Tips on getting a good answer to your questions.
People trying to answer your question do not have a crystal ball.
So give them all of the info you have like year make and model and engine and transmission.
Also service cars engine and transmission service history or any recent repairs or problems.
Also a description of your problem and what it is doing or not doing.
If you have codes give up the code no.
And remember a code does not say replace the part but only points to the problem that you have to check out.
So to better help you give up all of the info you have on it.

You have to replace the whole module. I spent about 2 weeks trying to get a reasonable price and got PO'ed and traded the truck for a '05 Yukon. The best price I got was from gmpartdirect.com (I wanted new) and even after installing it myself, the module had to be flashed by the dealer....another $200. If I had intended on keeping the truck, I would have bought the part at my local dealer at discount (most dealers will do that on big items) and had them install it. That way, parts and labor are covered and I wouldn't have wasted so much time.
