Hi, I am looking at a 94 Chevy Caprice w/Police Package for my son. Here is what I know. Has been with the ex-sherrif that drove it all the while. Has a 350 Corvett LTI series engine. New fuel pump & water pump. Replaced brakes 3 months ago. Newer tires. I know the owner takes care of it and fixed anything that went wrong ASAP. I know mileage is average of 200,000 but he said that after 100 or 150 they redid motor? or something. I get conflcting opinions from friends. One says the engine alone is worth that much, others say it's a waste of money. $3,000. Any opinions??? My thinking is at least I know where it is coming from and how it has been taken care of. No such luck at a lot or a stranger. Thanks. |

Re: Should I buy???
$3,000 for that car is a good deal. If the engine is in good shape, definitely get it. The '94 9C1 is/was one of the best police cars ever built, and it makes a great car for the enthusiast as well.
They ride a little rougher than a standard Caprice, but that's the tradeoff of a high-performance sleeper.
